WHO WE ARE
My name is Carla, and I’m the creative force behind bESPOKEbYC. As an Interior Designer and Architectural Technologist with over a decade of experience, I’ve built my career working with reputable companies specializing in both residential and commercial design, along with custom furniture design and procurement.
With bESPOKEbYC, my goal is to create stunning designs that align with each client’s unique lifestyle. My personal approach fosters strong relationships with clients and consultants, enabling me to truly understand their needs, build trust, and bring their vision to life.
I’m a proud Calgarian of Chilean descent, and my passion for interior design, furnishings, and textiles began in childhood. Growing up with a father who has been an upholsterer for over 30 years, I loved visiting his shop to explore materials and repurpose thrifted items. While I appreciate new trends, I also cherish the art of transforming furniture, a skill I’ve learned from my talented dad.
I started my interior design career in 2013, and shortly after graduating, I moved to London, England, where I spent two wonderful years immersed in travel and architecture. The blend of old and new in Europe continues to inspire me as I explore various cultures and styles.
